Right side buttstock has a sharp clear Argentine crest cartouche, and right side of receiver area has a crisp matching serial number. Features all matching serial numbers, including: receiver, stock, barrel, bolt, original cleaning rod, and floorplate. The majority of the battles were likely civil wars since Argentina had revolutions in 18 during the time when the model 1891 was their main battle rifle. This rifle has NOT been import marked, and like all model 1891 rifles the receiver crest was arsenal-removed prior to export. I found this on pg 109 of Colin Webster's excellent book, 'Argentine Mauser Rifles 1871-1959', which I highly recommend you buy and read - very much worth it. On the model 1909, besides the larger ring for strength, the extractors were improved, as well as improving the gas porting and adding a third safety lug on the bolt.
